Producer Jonathan Chik's romantic drama 4 In Love is airing during the Valentine's Day period. The fairytale love story between a 'House Boy' fan (Moses Chan) and a superstar (Charmaine Sheh) has left yet another deep impression on viewers. Moses and Charmaine continue to collaborate with Producer Chik's team and still found a load of surprises. From this series, the two were also able to really feel the love life of an artist.
First time playing a Mong Kok House Boy, Moses portrays him as a low and rough character. Moses said: "I've also done gangster roles before. As long as its not too artificial and more natural, then that would work. My role is so much fun this time, it is refreshing to have the series revolve around the Mong Kok setting. Usually, I have no opportunity to step into the Mong Kok area." In a scene where he was being chased and beat on the streets of Mong Kok, some pedestrians thought Moses it was all real because the filming location a crowds of people. Needless to say, in just a few minutes people may even have called the police. "It really satisfied my craving this time. Producer Chik and Chow Yuk Ming truly got me pleasantly surprised."
Charmaine Sheh plays the Asian superstar, who had to dress in costumes from the ancient times, modern times and the future. She played several different roles all at once. Charmaine's role greatest desire is to be herself and this happens to hold true for Charmaine in real life."Although I don't want to act anymore, but after all there is still that addiction inside. When I first entered the industry, there were times where I felt lost. I will forever want to show my best in front of people, but in fact that is not the real me. I would look very tired on and off screen. Aside from the gradual increase of my age and experience, I believe artists have their own side too, they don't want to always wear a mask in front of people."
Lost a Simple Life
Charmaine quoted the UFO scene she had with Moses in 4 In Love. They were being followed by the paparazzi, a simple date turned into big headlines. Its hardly romantic at all. "A simple and small dream can be shattered because I'm an artist. I have personally experienced this myself, making people around me very cautious as well. I remember one time when I was shooting, and I went to the restroom. When I came out, the director was waiting for me outside of the restroom because he was worried of my safety. To an average person, this is nothing special, but to me I felt so touched. I don't even know how long it has been since someone did something like that for me. It is because even with just normal friends, there is fear of a misunderstanding. This is the life of an artist. I scarificed a lot of small details in life, that were initially very simple."
Publicize relationship, no longer need to conceal
Moses also believed artists should open up their true side to people. You must admit that it is impossible that people don't have faults. No matter how much you try to portray the perfect image, one day someone will discover the truth and then the consequences will be severe."What I can only do is reveal the most true side of me. That is better and more comforting than trying to please audience. That is one of the reasons why I announced I'm dating Aimee Chan. After announcing it, we felt very comfortable and everyone have been giving us more space. When facing reporters, we no longer have to hide or conceal anything." Moses frankly said that the most comforting is that people have sent their blessings to them.
Charmaine starting to put love as a priority
Charmaine envies Moses for making his relationship public and that the public accepts the couple. As for herself, work is her first priority, so is love her second? Charmaine's voice turned high-pitched: "Of course not! I am starting to feel its a tad rushed. I'm starting to put love in a higher position and this is the reason why I want to take more time off. Aside from my health, I hope to put more time into expanding my social circle. I need time to communicate more with friends. In the last few years, I had pursuers, but I chose to put work first and pursuing a career was my priority. I didn't have time to think about my love life or to choose anyone. I cannot feel regret, so I am currently changing and I hope there will be a new scene."
